Frasier Gives Back, Supporting Retirement Communities Affected by Recent Hurricanes

BOULDER, Colo.: In the wake of devastating Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, Frasier, a Boulder senior living retirement community, is raising funds to support retirement community flood victims. Having dealt with the Boulder Flood of 2013, Frasier is all too familiar with the ravages of flooding waters, and displaced residents and staff.

Thus far, Frasier residents and staff have collected over $14,000 for the LeadingAge Hurricane Disaster Relief Fund to support these victims. All donations will go directly to LeadingAge senior communities’ residents and their staff to cover the range of needs for recovery.

“We felt compelled to help LeadingAge’s senior communities affected by these hurricanes. After taking a hard hit from the 2013 floods, we know firsthand the challenges that these communities will face. We know. And we care, tremendously,” stated Timothy A. Johnson, President and CEO of Frasier.

Additionally, Frasier is preparing to house – if necessary – displaced seniors from hurricane-affected senior living communities within the Novare Consortium, an organization of nonprofit, independent single-site senior retirement communities.

Johnson continued, “In 2013, we received help and monies from senior living communities, both locally and from afar. Not only did that aid provide relief, it buoyed our spirit and helped propel us forward. We hope to do the same for others. Frasier’s sense of social responsibility permeates our community and is unwavering.”

Over 40 residents and staff have generously donated and Frasier hopes to raise even more monetary donations for the LeadingAge Hurricane Disaster Relief Fund. Donations are still being accepted. If you’d like to donate, you may drop off your cash or check (made payable to LeadingAge) at Frasier’s front desk, 350 Ponca Place, Boulder CO, 80303.
