Wellness Lunch and Learn: Nourishing Mind, Body, and Community at Frasier

At Frasier, wellness means more than just physical fitness. It is a holistic approach that supports the mind, body, and spirit. Our Wellness Lunch and Learn series is a leading example of this commitment to community-wide wellbeing. This beloved program invites both residents and team members to bring their lunches and enjoy an educational presentation from a variety of wellness professionals.

Held once a month, this program has grown into a vibrant community gathering. What began as a small, video-based program has expanded into a live event that now fills our Eldorado Room in The Canyon Center. Each month, a speaker is selected by our Director of Wellness and Environmental Services Edgar Ortiz-Rodrigues in collaboration with Jean, our current resident leader from the Wellness Advisory Committee. Together, they ensure each topic is exciting and applicable to the daily lives of both residents and team members.

Most recently in May, Exercise Specialist Brandon Lam shared valuable insights on how muscle and bone density impact daily activities. In the past, sessions featured guest speakers ranging from CU Boulder professors to a physical therapist to our very own Director of Spiritual Life. Coming next week, our Dining Team’s Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Chelsea Wisch, will lead a conversation on Nutrition, Hydration, and Healthy Diets.

Wellness Lunch and Learn is designed to cultivate curiosity around physical and mental health across all generations. Whether you like to hike, bike, play bocce, or are simply a lifelong learner, our Wellness Center offers something unique to everyone.
